Volkswagen Insurance Services (VIS) was originally established in 1949 in Germany and has been a wholly owned subsidiary of VWFS since 1999. It's role is to manage the entire motor vehicle insurance business with primary focus being the provision of insurance policies to customers via the network of Volkswagen Group retailers.

As of January 2010 VIS has formed a strategic alliance with Allianz group who underwrite and administer all Motor Insurance customer policies. This move has been developed to ensure that VIS can provide Volkswagen Group retailers and their customers with a wide range of competitive, industry leading products - combined with excellent customer service reflecting the quality aspirations of the Volkswagen Group.

As a new initiative customers of Audi, SEAT, Skoda, Volkswagen and Volkswagen Commercial Vehicles can now enjoy complimentary motor insurance for seven days at the start of their ownership of a new or used vehicle and a range of online web quotation services are now available to obtain speedy quotations.
